Hey everyone! Welcome to the first blog post of “Vegan Food Reviews” — a new series where you can explore blog post reviews of vegan food I have tried from different locations! I am so excited to kickoff this journey with a must-visit restaurant my family and I visited on our second day in southwest Florida. We ate dinner at CJ’s on the bay on Marco Island. This location has several vegan and gluten-free options. I ordered the classic CJ’s hummus and substituted the pita for more veggies to make it gluten-free. The hummus came with spices and olive oil over top and was homemade, flavorful, rich, and filling. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy. For my main course, I ordered the charred veggie slant and added the impossible burger for more protein, all gluten-free as well. This included a portabella mushroom, zucchini, roasted tomato, onion, jalapeño, Italian vinaigrette, roasted red pepper coulis, and veggie-infused polenta cake. The impossible burger was cooked to perfection and was juicy and delicious. I enjoyed the side of roasted veggies as they were crispy yet tender inside making them a crave-worthy side. The veggie-infused polenta cake was to-die-for with a soft melting inside and crispier outside. The yummy sauce tied all the flavors together! This was a well-balanced, absolutely delicious, and satisfying meal! The atmosphere was also very inviting with an amazing view! The staff were friendly and kind. They did have affordable options and the price was right. I would highly recommend this location! That is all for this review — thank you so much for joining me today! Have a great rest of your day!
