3 EASY Healthy Snack Ideas

Hey everyone! Welcome back to another blog post! I got a lot of requests for healthy food ideas so I went ahead and made a few healthy, super easy, quick, snack recipes! These recipes include ingredients that you have around your house! All you need are some fresh veggies and fruit!

RECIPE 1:

If you're looking for a savory snack idea… keep reading! I have a healthy chip recipe that you will love… and it is made out of one ingredient, sweet potatoes! Yep, it's made out of a veggies and it's so delicious! This recipe is simple and quick!

Ingredients..

  • sweet potato

  • olive oil

  • cinnamon and sugar (optional)

(HEAT OVEN TO 350 degrees to begin!)

Step one: First you are going to peel the sweet potato. Then, slice it in very thin slices. Once you have a good amount of slices, take out a medium sized bowl and just toss them in!

Step 2: Next you are going to grab your olive oil and add in about 1 tablespoon.

Step 3: (optional) You are now going to grab out your sugar and cinnamon and add in as much as you want! If you want them more sweet… add in more of those ingredients and then the opposite for a saltier taste. If you do decide to add in these ingredients, I would recommend 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and a ½ teaspoon of sugar! Once all of your ingredients are added, use your hands and toss together for about one minute.

Step 4: Go ahead and take out a cooking pan and line it with parchment paper! Then place your slices onto your pan.

Step 5: Put your sweet potatoes into the oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes (depends on your slice size and thickness)

Step 6: After the first baking session is over, take out your pan and flip over all of your slices onto the other side and place back in the oven for 5-10 minutes!

COOK UNTIL CRISPY (check on them frequently so they don’t burn)

Step 7: Once your sweet potatoes are crispy and now in chip-form, you can take them out and ENJOY!!

That is all for this quick recipe! This one is by far my favorite because they are super tasty and easy! I highly recommend you try this out! I chose sweet potatoes because they are overall much healthier than regular potatoes (pro tip).

RECIPE 2:

Next recipe is the absolute easiest recipe on this blog post! They are called frozen yogurt drops! All you have to do is choose your favorite yogurt!! I highly recommend the So-Delicious brand yogurt because it is dairy free and overall a healthier alternative.. hence this being on a healthy snack list! You can of course choose whichever yogurt you desire but that would be my recommendation for a healthier snack! Again, this is extremely quick and easy and so fun!

Ingredients you will need:

  • So Delicious coconut milk dairy free strawberry yogurt

Step one: First you will need to grab out yogurt, a sandwich baggy or piping bag, scissors, parchment paper, spoon, and a plate.

Step two: Open up your yogurt and scoop your yogurt into the baggy. Then secure your yogurt inside so nothing is able to fall out, and take your scissors and snip a little corner off your baggy to allow yogurt to only come out of the end.

Step three: Grab your plate and line that with parchment paper.

Step four: Then take your yogurt and pipe little circle swirls onto the parchment paper.

Step five: Finally, just pop your yogurt drops into the freezer overnight and wake up with your frozen yogurt drops to enjoy!!

That is all for this recipe!! Easy right..? I love this super cute and yummy dessert that is still super healthy and quick! These are a great way to cool down with these frozen yogurt drops! Alright let’s head onto the final recipe!!

RECIPE 3:

This next recipe is a frozen fruit pop! This does require a little more work but still super easy! All you will need is some fruit you have around the house, yogurt of your choice (I again recommend the dairy free So-Delicious brand), blender, and some type of popsicle-like mold. This recipe makes super yummy popsicles that are super healthy and really simple!

Ingredients:

  • Banana

  • Strawberry

  • Blueberry

  • Raspberry

  • Yogurt

  • Mango

  • Pineapple

Step one: Go ahead and start collecting all of your needed supplies such as fruit, blender, popsicle mold, popsicle sticks (if needed).

Step two: Add in all of your fruit (you can use any of the fruit you would like but this is the fruit I recommend) and your yogurt into your blender! (add as much quantity you would like based on your portion desire)

Step three: Start blending all of your ingredients together! You should have a thicker than water consistency but still fairly liquidy. (you may need to add a splash of water to begin the blend process)

Step four: Grab out your popsicle mold. (you may have a popsicle mold but if not, you can just grab out a plastic cup and a popsicle stick) Then pop these in the freezer overnight!

Step five: Enjoy!
