Hey everyone!! Welcome back to another mile here on The Lifestyle Mile blog page! If you are feeling unmotivated or down lately, keep reading! Today I will be sharing EIGHT small activities I love doing to feel productive! Sometimes we forget to take time out of our day to recharge so today I am here to remind you to do so! Feel free to come back to this blog post as many times as you need! It will always be here for you! If you do enjoy this post, be sure to leave a like and share it down below! Also, let me know if you would like a part two because I would love to share more ideas in another blog post! With that being said, let's get right into it!!
Remember, discipline is key when being productive and feeling good! If you sit and wait for motivation to suddenly come to you, then you are doing it wrong! Instead, create a slow transition into learning to discipline yourself for being productive and getting things done! If you are feeling like you are in a funk, make yourself get up and clean your room, make a delicious healthy meal, drink water, etc. If you keep waiting for the motivation to come, you will be waiting forever. I know those activities can be really hard when you feel like doing nothing, but trust me, you will thank yourself later!
I want to remind you that I am so proud of how far you have come! You are truly doing so amazing and you totally got this! Don't give up, trust yourself! You are exactly where you need to be at this exact moment in your life! Do not forget that. Everything truly does happen for a reason and you matter tremendously.
Quick disclaimer: Although these things may work for me, everyone is different so they may not work for you! Grab a snack and enjoy:)
#1: I love journaling. Every morning and night, I simply take five or so minutes to write in my mindfulness/gratitude journal. It reminds me of how thankful I am for my life. It allows me to acknowledge the little things that bring me joy and how I appreciate those little things. I wrote an entire blog post on how to add journaling into your daily routine so be sure to check that out! I will link it here... https://www.thelifestylemile.com/post/how-to-add-journalling-into-your-daily-routine
#2: I absolutely love meditating and grounding myself. Meditation allows me to take just several minutes to pause and breathe. Many believe meditation needs to be at least 20 minutes long, but this is not true. One of my favorite mediation courses in only five minutes. In these beautiful five minutes, I can breathe and relax. Deep breathing has so many benefits and it overall makes you feel relieved of all things. I meditate every morning and it is an amazing way to start off my day! I made an entire blog post on meditating! I will link it here... https://www.thelifestylemile.com/post/how-to-add-basic-meditation-into-your-daily-routine
#3: Recently I have been getting into yoga! While doing yoga, I love participating in slow movements and stretching. All you have to do is simply lay out your mat and begin your slow movement! It is overall such an amazing stress reliever! There are so many free programs out there that are wonderful, and I highly recommend trying yoga out!
#4: Make a fresh bowl of fruit or veggies! I know this sounds super random but it works! Getting in your fruits and veggies every day is extremely important! Sit down, relax, and enjoy every bite!
#5: Drink a big ice-cold glass of water! This will leave you feeling regenerated and refreshed! Staying hydrated is extremely important! Water is super beneficial in all aspects of your life! I highly recommend it!
#6: Do TWO things you have been putting off! Use your discipline to get done two things that you have been procrastinating! This is such a great challenge if you are feeling unmotivated! By getting just two things done and out of the way, you will feel so much better! As hard as it is, you just have to sit yourself down, turn your phone off, or get rid of any possible distractions, and focus! You totally got this, you just gotta do it! Trust me, this works! You will feel so much better!
#7: Exercise and movement are so important! When I am feeling unmotivated, I love getting exercise! Whether that be in a regular gym, a home gym, or simply just some weights and a mat! There are so many amazing free programs out there for you to try! I highly recommend moving your body! You will feel so amazing after!
#8: Get fresh air! Stepping outside for at least five minutes a day makes me feel relieved, ready, motivated, and productive! Nature can be so powerful! I highly recommend stepping outside for a bit!
Have a wonderful rest of your day, don't forget to cherish every moment, be kind, and stay positive! You got this!
