Hey everyone! Welcome back to another blog post! Have you guys heard of the new KENDALL X KYLIE Cosmetics drop? Like many others, I am a huge fan of the Kardashian/Jenner clan. I get so much inspiration from them because they are all such entrepreneurial role-models! As soon as I heard that they were creating and launching makeup and cosmetics together, I knew I had to try out their new line and review for you guys! I am so excited about this week’s blog post and I can’t wait to share how amazing their products are!! Let’s get right into the experience and review!
DISCLAIMER: I am in no way a beauty influencer and know anything about makeup so this is just an honest normal review on some highly recommended beauty and cosmetics products!
To start, I want to tell you guys a little bit about my experience when buying their products and what it was like on launch day! Before the launch was released, I had concluded and inferred that the products were most likely going to sell out super quick due to their large following and popularity. Therefore, I hopped onto the site about 30 minutes early. I know that sounds a little crazy but this was a huge deal and I wanted to make sure I got a product for you guys! Up to about when there was 1 minute left on the countdown, I started refreshing the page. As I began to refresh, the site and products popped up and I worked quickly! Their site was very user friendly and I did have such a quick shopping experience. After I quickly picked out the products, all of a sudden they put me into a virtual waiting room because there were so many people on! I began to get a bit nervous because I at first thought I wouldn’t be able to get the products. After waiting a few minutes, my screen refreshed and I was on the checkout screen! I quickly placed my order and I just received my products about a little over a week ago! I, unfortunately, was only able to get a few products due to high demand but I am still thrilled to let you guys know how amazing these products are! If they restock, I highly recommend you purchase these products because they are such good quality and overall at a great price point! Now let’s get into the review!
First off, I just want to point out the packaging it came in! The packaging had a personalized feel to it. It features a picture of Kendall and Kylie on the packaging with a note that appears to be handwritten. I will be sure to leave a picture down below! (the notecard is not visible in the image below)
The first product I chose was the “Can I Borrow That?” GLOSS.. Let me tell you, this gloss is by far the best lip gloss I have ever had! I have tried numerous brands and none of them necessarily have all of the qualities I look for in a gloss until this product! I highly recommend this product! The formula is super smooth and hydrating and overall feels so good on your lips! When you first open up the gloss and take out the applicator, it comes out with just the right amount of product to make your lips look flawless and feel amazing! The color appears very pigmented in the packaging but do not worry, the pigment is very subtle and will match with your natural lip color and the makeup look you have on! The gloss does not have a specific color and mostly remains clear and transparent! The overall gloss effect to this particular lip gloss is perfect! It leaves the right amount of sheerness and shimmer that lasts for a very long time!! Overall, I personally think this product is amazing and I am so happy I was able to get it before it quickly sold out! The price point of this product is right as well! This product retails for $16!
The other product I was able to quickly snag was the “Spotlight” highlighter!! This highlighter is in-fact a cream highlighter and it is simple to apply!! It comes in a highlight stick packaging and as you use the product, just twist, and more will come out as you apply shimmer and accentuate your best features! I believe this formula is amazing as it is just the right amount of highlight! It is not too much and it is not too little; it provides a very natural look. You can also apply it in different ways. I have applied it by simply rubbing the stick directly on my skin or taking a brush and dipping it into the product and then applying it to the skin. There is only one color option for the highlighter and it is just right for my skin color! Overall, this highlighter is so amazing and I highly recommend it! This product also retails for $16 and I think that is super affordable for the quality of the Kylie Cosmetic brand!
Those are the only two products I was able to quickly purchase before they sold out, and I love them!
