HEALTHY Snack Idea... Homemade Sweet Potato Fries!! (vegan and gluten-free)

Hey everyone! Welcome to another mile over here on The Lifestyle Mile blog page!! Today I have yet another delicious recipe for you! If you are a lover of sweet potatoes… you need to try out this recipe! This is my original recipe and I think you guys will love it! This recipe is healthy, vegan, gluten-free, super easy, and quick!! Let’s hop right into this delicious snack idea!! 


Ingredients: 

  • One sweet potato 

  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil 

  • Three shakes of salt

  • Two shakes of pepper 

  • 2 teaspoons of Cinnamon 



Preheat your oven to 425 degrees. (begin baking process 1 hour and 30 minutes before you want to eat) 


Step one: Begin by collecting all of your necessary kitchen cookware such as a large bowl, large knife, baking sheet, veggie peeler, parchment paper, and cutting board.


Step two: Begin by taking out your cutting board. Use your veggie peeler and peel entire sweet potato. Then, take your knife and start cutting your sweet potato into fry shape. They should be fairly thick.


Step three: Next place your cut sweet potatoes into your large bowl and fill your bowl up with water. Let your sweet potatoes soak in water for one hour.


Step four: Drain your water and begin to add in your ingredients such as one sweet potato, 2 tablespoons olive oil, three shakes of salt, two shakes of pepper, and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon. Take your hands and toss the combination until well combined. 


Step five: Grab your baking sheet and line with parchment paper. Then place the well-seasoned sweet potato pieces onto your baking sheet (do not overlap). 


Step six: Place in the oven for 15 minutes for one session. After 15 minutes, take out and flip them all over and bake for another 10-15 minutes or until crispy. Let cool for about 10 minutes. 


Step seven: Enjoy your delicious and super healthy fries!!!
